In 1989, after nearly 40 years working in various capacities in the automotive industry in Southern California, Virgil Stearns opened the doors of Virgil's Automotive Paint Supply in Bishop, California. He became the only automotive paint store from Lancaster, California to Carson City, Nevada.
In 1998, Virgil's daughter, Cori, moved to Bishop from South Carolina to help her dad with the growing business. They were fortunate to share eight years working together before Virgil lost his battle with cancer in June, 2006.
Thanks to the support of a wonderful community, great customers, family and friends, Cori has continued running the store at the new location in Bishop.
